Sue Chandler has been involved in the community in and around Ash for many years, she spent some time as Chairman of Ash Cartwright and Kelsey Primary School, and more recently has represented the ward of Little Stour and Ashstone as a District Councillor.
Having been instrumental in establishing a Nursery for the local school she has continued a particular interest in children and young people, chairing the Local Children’s Partnership Group, Sue also represents the District on the local Health and Wellbeing Board.
Sue has led the ongoing project in Sandwich to incorporate the historic town walls and green spaces in Sandwich into a strategic park. Sue lives at Cop Street with her husband Peter.
Sue understands the concerns that residents have about social care in particular and wants to make sure that funding is increased and the work on proper integration with health care continues.
Traffic is a huge issue for Sandwich and our villages and although some good work has been done there is much more to do and Sue will make sure this is a priority.
