I am delighted to have been selected as the Conservative Party Candidate for Maidstone South Division for May's Kent County Council elections. I look forward to meeting with residents across the area in the coming months, listening to your opinions and concerns and working with the wider community to work for everyone.
I am a truly local candidate, having grown up in Maidstone and been educated at Oakwood Park Grammar School. I believe that being a local candidate puts me on the right footing to fully understand all local issues. I will strive to be a champion for local people, and would encourage anyone to be in touch with me about any concerns you may have.
I work as a Financial Adviser, covering all of Kent. I spend a lot of time meeting ordinary people in their homes, and a large part of my business is taken up arranging mortgages. Through my work I have developed a large understanding of the issues affecting people's stretched finances. This problem is particularly affecting people trying to progress up the housing ladder, resulting from the current housing crisis. If elected, I would gladly use my expertise in this area to enhance current policy.
