Herne Village & Sturry
Alan Marsh was elected to the County Council in May 2005 as the Conservative Member for Herne and Sturry.
He is an Aviation Consultant with over 38 years experience in the aviation industry. He has worked as both a training and test pilot, and a consultant, and has flown with several airlines including British Midland and BEA based in Berlin as well Invicta Airlines which was the most successful Kent based airline. The nature of his flying varied from cargo and humanitarian flights to carrying military personnel as well as passengers. It is the peace keeping military flying that prompted Alan to be involved with the annual Remembrance arrangements at Herne and Broomfield.
Alan has recently been leading a select committee of cross party councillors on bus services in Kent.
Alan is married to Maxine and they leave in Whitstable.
